An Unconventional Birthday Celebration

I’m keeping you guessing—which means I’m cool.

I’m certainly not above following a viral food trend (see: the aforementioned cucumber salad).

I have a voice, and for the first time in my life, I’m not afraid of it.

I’d frozen my face into a wide-eyed expression of mild panic, but I was upright.

But I knew he was too tired to talk, and so I began putting my head on his shoulder and just… watching.

When at first someone politely declines your chocolate or tea, try, try again—but sneakier.

There was a moment in my senior year when I realized, Hey, all of my opinions are just what adults are telling me.

I believe in small changes that add up over time.

Then I put everything into a Google Sheet and started slinging around some pivot tables.
