About: The Hudson Review is a journal focusing on literature and the arts, particularly the intersection of literature and the aspects of intellectual life and American culture. It has no university affiliation. The Review “has a distinguished record of publishing little-known or undiscovered writers, many of whom have become major literary figures.” They publish a very wide range of work. The Hudson Review publishes a number of repeat contributors, and many of the contributors have published books.
Analysis: The Hudson Review is a fine literary magazine with an intellectual bent. Many of the excerpted essays are in an academic style and include footnotes and references. All of the poems in the most recent issue are works in translation.
