About: The Georgia Review has won national awards and publishes established writers as well as emerging and even unpublished writers. In recent years, they have been able to accept less than one-half of fiction and poetry manuscripts received. They discourage translations, novel excerpts, and most scholarly articles. Unsolicited reviews should not be submitted without a previous query.

Analysis: The Georgia Review is an attractively produced print publication—take a look at it in the periodicals section. The Spring 2009 issue contained a special themed essay section, with just two fiction pieces and a handful of poems.
